This message = learning from the predators/victims and their situations – not just being stuck in your own bubble of martial arts without making a connection with reality. In the near future, I want to share these very important personal experiences in a new format, so we can learn from them through their evaluations. Just doing some brainstorming.
In this short video, a murderer in prison talks about his crime and I’ve just cut out one little detail of a documentary. This man says something about how he uses a knife. Not about technique, just about his intent/power and that can give us an idea of how intense a knife attack can be if someone is willing to use the knife. You have all kinds of knife attacks but I stick for now to his message.
Getting stabbed with so much power is something you need to simulate in training. That’s just one part of the job. There are lots of other things to simulate.
The same goes for the victims. Listen to survivors explain when they, for instance, survive a serious attack. They talk about real situations and how they dealt with it. Is it luck, chance, experience, intelligence, instinct? What would you do if you were confronted with terrible violence or even death? What gives someone the strength/possibility to survive?
This all can give you a ton of knowledge, much more than practising for 10 years of fake martial arts.
This is for educational purpose only. We do NOT GLORIFY VIOLENCE in any way! When you have more background information, or you notice mistakes in our description/video, please give us your feedback.
